Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Learners are expected to hold a bachelor's degree qualification or equivalent.

  • Mature applicants with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience may be considered on the basis of relevant work experience and their ability to meet the demands of the programme.

English Language Requirements

Learners must demonstrate English language proficiency sufficient to successfully engage with programme materials, participate in learning activities, and complete assessments. This may be evidenced through prior education completed in English or through a recognised English language qualification.

For learners whose first language is not English, an IELTS 6.0 (overall) or above  is normally accepted for entry to the diploma.

 

Equivalent English language proficiency may include:

  • PTE Academic: 50

  • Duolingo English Test: 100

  • TOEFL iBT: 60

  • Learners examine advanced teaching and learning theories and their practical application. The unit emphasises curriculum development, assessment strategies, learner engagement, and inclusive teaching practices.

  • This unit develops the ability to foster a culture of reflection and continuous professional development. Learners explore reflective models, performance evaluation, and strategies for improving teaching quality and institutional effectiveness.

  • Learners gain advanced research skills, including research design, qualitative and quantitative methods, data analysis, and ethical considerations. The unit prepares educational leaders to conduct research that informs policy, practice, and institutional improvement.
