Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Learners are expected to hold a bachelor's degree qualification or equivalent.

  • Mature applicants with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience may be considered on the basis of relevant work experience and their ability to meet the demands of the programme.

English Language Requirements

Learners must demonstrate English language proficiency sufficient to successfully engage with programme materials, participate in learning activities, and complete assessments. This may be evidenced through prior education completed in English or through a recognised English language qualification.

For learners whose first language is not English, an IELTS 6.0 (overall) or above  is normally accepted for entry to the diploma.

 

Equivalent English language proficiency may include:

  • PTE Academic: 50

  • Duolingo English Test: 100

  • TOEFL iBT: 60

  • Learners develop advanced skills in analysing data and managing information to support strategic decisions. The unit focuses on evidence-based management, risk analysis, and the use of information systems to enhance competitive advantage.

  • This unit develops the ability to plan, lead, and evaluate large-scale strategic initiatives. Learners explore project governance, stakeholder management, resource allocation, and delivering measurable organisational outcomes.

  • Learners examine how organisations define mission, vision, and long-term objectives. The unit explores competitive positioning, environmental analysis, and strategic alignment in complex and dynamic markets.

  • This unit focuses on developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic plans. Learners analyse internal capabilities and external factors to formulate sustainable and adaptable business strategies.

  • Learners reflect on their own leadership style and managerial capabilities. The unit emphasises personal effectiveness, ethical leadership, continuous professional development, and strategic thinking skills.

  • This unit explores models and frameworks for managing change in organisations. Learners examine change leadership, resistance management, transformation strategies, and sustaining change in evolving business environments.

  • Strategic Marketing examines long-term marketing planning, competitive analysis, brand strategy, and global market positioning. Learners explore how marketing decisions align with corporate strategy to drive sustainable growth and market leadership.
